Ist das Land gespalten? Ich denke, das Land ist ignorant, und zwar auf beiden Seiten, links wie rechts. Links gibt es zu viele moralisierende Sozialgerechtigkeitskämpfer, die einen Prototyp von elitärem »Ihr seid nur ein Haufen Schwachköpfe, die die Probleme nicht verstehen und es nicht verdienen, beachtet zu werden« schaffen. Auf der einen Seite. Und auf der anderen Seite gibt es die echten Schwachköpfe, die nicht wissen, dass sie gegen ihre eigenen Interessen stimmen. Und diejenigen, die diese Spaltung schüren, sind die republikanischen Mitglieder des Senats, die diesen Leuten erlauben, an unserer amerikanischen Regierung Verbrechen zu begehen. Und der einzige Grund, warum sie es zulassen, ist, dass ihre Geldgeber und die sie unterstützenden Konzerne reicher werden, während alle anderen ärmer werden und Sozialleistungen verlieren.
Is the country divided? I think the country is ignorant. I think that both, on the left and the right. On the left there are too many preachy social justice warriors who are creating the prototypical kind of elitist “You guys are just a bunch of morons who don’t understand the issues and you don’t, you know, deserve to be heard.” On the one hand. And on the other hand, there are real morons who don’t know that they’re voting against their own self-interest. And then the people who are fomenting that division are the Republican members of the Senate who are allowing these people to do things to our American government that are crimes. And the only reason why they’re allowing, they’re doing it is so that their backers and the corporate interests that support them get richer while everybody else gets poorer and loses benefits.
